(Taken by Hearthstone Village prior to the COVID-19 Pandemic.) This post will be dedicated to spreading awareness of the importance of education and its current standing around the world. Without a doubt, the growing years of infancy and childhood are extremely crucial in the development of a person. The story behind FreeSpirit DreamTee

After five of our girls experienced being on a swim team and learned the value of regular exercises, two of them brought it to our morning walks. They led the girls to practice a variety of exercises the swim coach always had them do at the beginning and end of weekly practices. So we ended each waling day with these exercises at the top of the hill. All of the girls participated as best as they could. At times, these yoga poses became part of the stretching and balancing. At first, you would see some topping, but with practice more stood tall and sturdy as a tree- a value the girls have embraced.  Staying fit and moving has always been apart of our daily routine, with the girls discovering new yoga poses...

The story behind Island DreamTee

Haiti shares the island of Hispaniola with the Dominican Republic. The girls all learn about Haiti’s amazing history and culture in school. From that a group of the younger ones have taken on creating videos and posting them on YouTube (RMOF girls channel) about Haiti’s Flag Day, celebrating Haiti’s Mother’s Day, their Arbor day to protect trees, and recently how to prevent contracting COVID-19.   They love singing the Haitian national anthem and saying the pledge of allegiance. A few dreams to someday represent Haiti at the Olympics or the World Cup! The story behind Create DreamTee

Unfortunately, many of the girls had little experience with crayons, stickers, and glitter before coming to Reveil Matinal Orphanage Foundation (RMOF). We always try to give them plenty of supplies for this experience. Now each girl has almost daily time for drawing, coloring and creating. As seen in the photos, each girl has created her own placemat for the dining table that gets a personal photo and then is laminated so they can set their table place for the daily big afternoon meal.  Media by Nancy McGivney- Hearthstone Village Board member  Find the Create DreamTee on the catalog page, and support the girls today!

The story behind Discover DreamTee

"On days when the girls don't have school, we take off walking at 6:30am so we can get our exercise in before the weather gets too hot. We walk up and down a quiet residential street with a steep hill, keeping track of how many laps up and down we can get in by about 8:15am when it starts getting hot." "Some of the girls will run up and down the hill, others just walk, or sit down on the curb to rest." We have even tie-dyed our own track club shirts that says- Club de Piste RMOF! They hope to step out of the society, and contribute to the world after they have receive enough education and knowledge. With virtues of compassion and kindness they will harness...
