Haiti Opposition Agrees on Plan to Replace President Moise on February 7

Members of the transitional government in Haiti will be officially announced for February 7, according to Voice of America. Haiti will proceed into a new “system” of governing and a and thus enters a transition period. The initial statement that expressed the need for a transitional government was issued in December 2020. The current Haitian president, Jovenel Moise is indicted with autocratic The opposition agreement, Ako Final Teras Garden (Terrace Garden Final Accord), is the plan recognized by Haiti’s opposition leaders as a measure to replace President Moise with a new head of government ministries. Haiti Ambassador Condemns Police Attack on Journalists Covering Protest

Haitian national police officers had used tear gas to disperse the journalists during a peaceful anti-government protest on February 10th in Port-au-Prince. Ambassador Edmond condemned such an attack on reporters and intended to launch an investigation in cooperation with the national police chief regarding the incident. Media journalists carried their reporting equipment and filed complaints in the governmental administration known as DDO (Délégation Départementale de l'Ouest). The DDO guaranteed investigation and disciplinary measures to the police officers who had committed the actions. (Original Source)
